Alamast Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Alamast™ eye drops are used to prevent itching of the eye that may be cause by allergies. Pemirolast is an anti-allergic medication. It inhibits the processes in the body that may cause allergic symptoms.

Alamast Dosage

• For adults and children over 3, the usual starting dose is 1 or 2 drops in each affected eye 4 times a day.

Uses of Alamast

• Alamast is used to prevent itching of the eye caused by allergies.
• Pemirolast ophthalmic is also used to treat ocular symptoms such as itching.

Side Effects of Alamast

Before taken Alamast medicine, you should discuss the side effects with your doctor. If any develop or change in intensity, then you should inform your doctor as soon as possible. Because only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Alamast. Side effects may include:

• Allergy
• Back pain
• Cough
• Dry eyes
• Eye discomfort
• Fever
• Headache
• Menstrual pain
• Nasal
• Sinus inflammation

Warnings and precautions before taking Alamast:

• You should not wear contact lenses if your eyes are red.
• You should also tell your doctor your medical history such as allergies you may have.

Drug Interaction :-

No interactions have been reported. But if you are using Alamast with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Alamast with other drugs.

Overdose

An overdose of this medication is unlikely to occur. But after taken Alamast if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect.
