Avandamet is a combination of two oral diabetes medicines that help control blood sugar levels. Avandamet™ is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medicine lowers blood sugar and helps your body to use insulin more efficiently.

Avandamet Dosage

• For patients who are inadequately controlled on rosiglitazone therapy alone, the usual starting dose is 1,000 milligrams of metformin plus the dose of rosiglitazone you are already taking.
• For patients on combination therapy taking separate doses of rosiglitazone and metformin, the usual starting dose of Avandamet is based on your current doses of rosiglitazone and metformin.
