Denavir Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Penciclovir is an antiviral medication. It treats the symptoms of herpes virus infections on the lips or face. It will not cure herpes infections, but it will help the sores heal faster and may also help relieve the pain or discomfort.

Denavir Dosage

• For adults, then you should apply cream every 2 hours, while awake, for 4 days.
• For children, the safety and effectiveness of this drug in children have not been established.
• Take this medication exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor.

Uses of Denavir

• Penciclovir is used on the lips and faces of adults to treat cold sores that may be caused by herpes simplex virus.

Side Effects of Denavir
