Effexor is used to treat depression. The symptoms usually such as changes in appetite, sleep habits, and decreased sex drive, increased fatigue, feelings of guilt or worthlessness. It is also prescribed to relieve abnormal anxiety.

For adults, the usual starting dosage is 75-milligram every day.

Side Effects of Effexor

• Effexor may also cause cholesterol levels to rise, if you will take it for 3 months or longer.

Drug Interaction :-If you are taking effexor with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So you should consult your doctor before combining effexor with other drugs that affect the central nervous system, such as lithium, weight-loss products such as phentermine, tranquilizers, and antipsychotic medicines such as Haldol, and other antidepressants such as Celexa, Prozac, Tofranil, and Zoloft.

Overdose

After taken effexor if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect. Symptoms of effexor overdose may include:

• Vertigo
• Rapid or slow heartbeat
• Low blood pressure
• Seizures
• Coma.
