Eulexin Medication - Uses & Side Effects

It belongs to a class of drugs known as antiandrogens. It is used along with drugs such as Lupron to treat prostate cancer. If you are taking Eulexin with Lupron, then it may reduced the body's testosterone levels and it is one way of treating prostate cancer.

EulexinDosage

• The usual starting dosage for adult is 2 capsules and you should be taken 3 times a day at 8-hour intervals.

Side Effects of Eulexin

Before taken Eulexin medicine, you should discuss the side effects with your doctor. If any develop or change in intensity, then you should inform your doctor as soon as possible. Because only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Eulexin. Side effects may include:

• Breast tissue swelling and tenderness
• Diarrhea
• Hot flashes
• Impotence
• Loss of sex drive
• Nausea
• Vomiting

Warnings and precautions before taking Eulexin:

• If you are using Eulexin, then it may cause liver failure in some patients. So you should be used this medicine with extra caution.
• Your doctor will do blood tests to check your liver function before you start treatment with Eulexin.
• If you develop liver problem, then you should be stop taking the drug.

Drug Interaction :-

If you are already taking the anticoagulant drug warfarin, you will need to be monitored especially closely after treatment with Eulexin begins. Your doctor may need to lower your dosage of warfarin.

Overdose

You may notice breast development or tenderness with an overdose of Eulexin. So after taken Eulexin if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect.
