Midrin Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Midrin is used for the treatment of tension headaches. It is also used to treat vascular headaches such as migraine.

Midrin Dosage

• For the treatment of Migraine Headache, the usual starting dose is 2 capsules at once.
• For the treatment of Tension Headache, the usual dosage is 1 or 2 capsules every 4 hours up to a maximum of 8 capsules a day.

• It is used to treats tension headaches.

Side Effects of Midrin

Before taken Midrin medicine, you should discuss the side effects with your doctor. If any develop or change in intensity, then you should inform your doctor as soon as possible. Because only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Midrin. Side effects may include:

• Short periods of dizziness
• Skin rash

Warnings and precautions before taking Midrin:

• If you have high blood pressure or any abnormal condition, then you should be used this medication with extra caution.
• If you have recently had a cardiovascular attack such as a heart attack or stroke, then you should also used this medication with extra caution.

Drug Interaction :-

If you are taking Midrin with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Midrin with the following:

• Acetaminophen-containing pain relievers
• Central nervous system depressants

Overdose

After taken Midrin if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect. Symptoms of a Midrin overdose is unknown.
