Normodyne Medication - Uses & Side Effects

Normodyne is used for the treatment of high blood pressure. It is effective when used alone or in combination with other high blood pressure medications, especially thiazide diuretics such as HydroDIURIL and "loop" diuretics such as Lasix.

Normodyne Dosage

• The usual starting dose is 100 milligrams, 2 times per day, alone or with a diuretic drug.
• The safety and effectiveness of Normodyne in children have not been established.

Side Effects of Normodyne

• Dizziness
• Fatigue
• Indigestion
• Nausea

Warnings and precautions before taking Normodyne:

• If you develop symptoms of abnormal liver function such as itching, dark urine, continuing loss of appetite, yellow eyes and skin, then you should contact your doctor immediately.

Drug Interaction :-

If you are taking Normodyne with certain other drugs, then the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. So it is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Normodyne with the following:

• Airway opening drugs such as Proventil and Ventolin
• Cimetidine
• Diabetes drugs
• Epinephrine
• Insulin
• Nitroglycerin products such as Transderm-Nitro
• Ritodrine
• Verapamil

Overdose

After taken Normodyne if you feel that overdose is suspected, then you should contact with your doctor immediately. Because it may lead to another serious effect. Symptoms of a Normodyne overdose include:

• Dizziness
• Severely low blood pressure
• Severely slow heartbeat
